Summer is right around the corner. Hopefully, you have some beach time (or mountain time, or camping time) penciled in somewhere. While swimming, boating, and hiking are all good ways to spend your summer break, so is reading, and I have a recommendation for you.
One of my favorite authors, Stephen King, has a new book on the shelves, titled “Fairy Tale.” Take a look at that cover. It is a German Shepherd hidden in there and she figures prominently in the tale. Now, if you’ve read “Cujo,” or “Pet Cemetery, ” or many others by Uncle Stevie, you probably know not many animals fare well in his books. I won’t spoil things too much for you, but the dog, Radar, does not meet any rabid bats or semi-trucks.

Check it out and let me know what you think. Personally, I think this is one of his better books from recent years.
Are there any books (dog-centric or otherwise) on your must read list for this summer?
