**An update to the following story:

It appears the information about the dogs was not correct. At this time, investigators are saying Bear, the German Shepherd did not die in the home. In fact, he and another dog belonging to the couple, Nikita, were at an area boarding facility. One dog was found deceased and locked in a crate. That dog was a 12-year old Kelpie Aussie mix named Zinna.

Police have not explained why they misidentified the dog or why they said the other dogs were found in the house.

Legendary actor, Gene Hackman has died.

The 95-year old actor was found with his wife, Betsy Arakawa, and their dog earlier this week. All deceased. Authorities at first said no sign of foul play or carbon monoxide leaks, but later stated that it was “suspicious enough” to merit an investigation.

Hackman was know for gruff characters. I personally loved him from his portrayal of Lex Luthor in the 1980s Superman movies, and later as Little Bill in Unforgiven, but he had iconic roles in The French Connection, Hoosiers, Mississippi Burning, and more.

His wife was an acclaimed classical pianist.

Two other dogs were found alive, locked in another room in the house.
