Maybe Just a Little Longer

I am reading “The Forever Dog” by Dr. Karen Becker and Rodney Habib. It got me to thinking about my dogs and how I should feed them a better, more natural diet. I should be more thoughtful and focused about how they are living their lives.

Then, between training sessions, I quickly grabbed a lunch of high salt, high carb chips and a processed lunch meat sandwich. I scarfed most of it down while standing, then rushed back to work.

Interesting how we often put ourselves in the backseat when it comes to care. This industry especially teaches us to focus on the well-being of others, often at the cost of our own.

Anyone else ever feel this way?
