The Sun Sets on Sundance

Whether you know him as the handsome leading man, the founder of the Sundance Festival, or an award-winning director, you know Robert Redford.

The Hollywood icon has passed away at age 89. His credits(for those who somehow aren’t familiar with him) range from the TV roles in the 1960’s to powerhouse performances in movies like, All the President’s Men, The Natural, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and more recently as the foil to Tony Stark in The Avengers: Endgame.

He also won accolades as a director with films like Ordinary People and A River Runs Through It.

In addition to all these incredible achievements, he was also a life long animal lover and environmentalist.

He put his celebrity power to use, supporting numerous environmental causes and animal charities. He even adopted on of his critter co-stars, the horse from The Electric Horseman.

And, of course, there were dogs throughout his life.
