Wordless Wednesday 12/31/14

So, it is the last day of 2014, also the final WW of the year. Due to this being the year’s closing blog, it will not be quite so wordless, however, if you want to truly keep to the theme, then let me just say Happy New Year and leave you here. If you want a bit more, follow me over the jump.  IMG_5408

This is the season to look back on the year and take stock of what’s been accomplished, what the year gave and took away, and ahead at what’s left to be done.

First, a quick look back. As is my tradition, here is an impossibly incomplete list of my favorite things from 2014.

Best tunes:

Metamodern Sounds of Country Music- Sturgill Simpson

Catacombs of the Black Vatican – Black Label Society

English Oceans- Drive-by Truckers

Popular Problems- Leonard Cohen

Once More Around the Sun – Mastadon

Band of Brothers – Willie Nelson

Rock or Bust – AC/DC

Movies

Grand Budapest Hotel

Capt America: Winter Soldier

Gone Girl

Guardians of the Galaxy

Birdman

Books:

Revival – Stephen King

Mr. Mercedes – Stephen King

The Magician’s Land – Lev Grossman

The Bone Clocks – David Mitchell

Hungry Bug – Carlton Mellick III

2014 also earned a place in my heart as one of the hardest years when it comes to our furry friends. We said goodbye to five members of our family, Mabel, Maggie, Gunnar, Moses, and the irreplaceable, Snuffy.

But time stops for no man, or dog for that matter. Looking ahead to 2015, we have some big things in store. One item I will elaborate on in a post very soon is a planned relocation. Also on the docket for next year, I intend to get Loki his BH in March. Finally, those who know me know I have the same New Year’s resolution year after year. Even if I achieve it, I can also reaffirm it the following year. I also wish this same thing for you. In all things, in all ways, just get better.

Happy New Year.
