Just in time for the summer blockbuster season, along comes a hero for all those dog-lovers out there. A word of warning, you’ll want to bring a box of Kleenex when you go to the theater, because you need a few just to get through the trailer.

The advertisements claim the story is “based on real events,” but I wouldn’t be surprised if a few of the plot points are more than a bit far-fetched. If you want a better idea of what real Military Working Dogs do, there are stacks of great books available on the subject, including, “Soldier Dogs,” by Martha Savage, “The Dogs of War,” by Lisa Rogak, or “Trident K9 Warriors,” by Mike Ritland.
