It is that time of year again, the American kennel club has released a list of the most popular breeds for the previous year.

To be fair to all dog kind, this is only a list of the most common registered purebred dogs. It has no real correlation to the most popular breeds in the country, which in my guess would be rescue.

It should come as no surprise that perennial favorite, labrador retriever is once again at the top of the list. A friendly, outgoing dog who only wants to please everyone, it is hard to deny this lovable pup his rightful place as the reigning champion. My personal favorite breed is also on the list, but not to play favorites, I won’t say which one it is. If you’ve paid close attention to my blog posts, you might have a good guess.
