Shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic began to spread in earnest in America, dogs started showing up in labs as researchers began trying to train them to detect the virus. From the Penn Vet Working Dog Center to some of the biggest names in detection training, they started isolating the virus and training dogs to track it. Now, some 2 years later, those efforts are paying off.
