Anthony Head, a British actor and musician, best known for his role as Rupert Giles in the hit television series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer” has died.

Head’s daughters, actors Emily and Daisy Head, say the actor passed away due to complications from pneumonia.

He is also known for his more current role as the dastardly foil to the nice guy lead in ‘Ted Lasso.’

His death follows just six months after his longtime partner, Sarah Fisher.She was well-known as an animal activist and the pair owned an animal sanctuary, Tilly Farm.
